Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Toolsbywork and Add My Tool. By browsing, submitting a tool, or purchasing a placement, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you submit or purchase for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it. You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your location.
2. The service
Toolsbywork is a public directory of software stacks organized by job. Add My Tool lets a visitor request a time-limited placement for a SaaS product. We inspect the public site, apply safety review, and may use AI to prepare descriptions, stack combinations, and additional job-category placement. We may correct, label, reject, delay, or remove content to keep the directory accurate and safe.
3. Your submission
You represent and agree that:
- the information is accurate and you are authorized to submit the site, name, icon, and other material;
- the submitted website is a lawful SaaS or software service and does not contain malware, phishing, illegal goods or services, gambling, controlled-drug sales, adult sexual content, or child exploitation;
- you will not submit confidential information, personal profiles, credentials, private documents, or content that infringes another party's rights;
- you grant Toolsbywork a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to inspect, process, resize, classify, reproduce, and publicly display the submitted material solely to operate, secure, and promote the requested placement; and
- you will not attempt to evade eligibility, rate limits, safety review, or payment controls.
4. Free and paid placement
The plan, price, currency, duration, and category scope shown before Checkout are part of your order. A free placement is limited to one per website under the current eligibility rules. Paid placement is activated only after Polar confirms a valid payment and the site passes the required reinspection and safety controls. The advertised placement clock starts when the approved placement becomes active, not while you are completing Checkout.
Placement is temporary editorial exposure, not a promise of traffic, clicks, leads, sales, search rank, revenue, or any other business result. AI matches may be imperfect and are not an endorsement, certification, or professional recommendation.
5. Sponsor rail advertising
The sponsor rail is advertising space, sold separately from Add My Tool placement. A sponsor buys one of twenty slots for a fixed run of 15, 20, or 30 days at the price shown before Checkout. The rail is ten fixed panels, five on each side, and each panel carries up to two sponsors. Where a panel holds two, they take turns in that same panel for eight seconds each, so both receive the same share of screen time; where a panel holds one, that card stays on screen continuously. Which panel you are given, and whether you share it, are decided by us and are not part of what you purchase.
You choose the card colour from the palette we offer, supply the brand name, the single line of copy, the destination address, an optional logo, and the job category the card is labelled with. You represent that you hold the rights to that material and that the destination site meets the same content rules as section 3. Sponsor cards are labelled as advertising, and their links carry the sponsored and nofollow attributes.
Sponsorship never changes the leaderboard. It does not affect ranking, mention counts, prices, or any editorial content on this site, and it is not an endorsement. Your run begins when the card actually goes live after payment and safety review, not when you pay, and it ends when the purchased number of days has elapsed. If safety review needs a person, the clock does not start while you wait. We do not promise traffic, clicks, impressions, leads, sales, search rank, or any other business result.
If every slot is taken when your payment clears, your card is held until a slot frees up, or you may ask for a refund of that order because we were unable to supply the space. If the destination site fails safety review, the sponsorship is rejected and refunded.
6. Immediate performance and no-refund policy
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS AFTER PERFORMANCE BEGINS. This applies to paid placement and to sponsor rail advertising alike.
Before continuing to payment, you must take a separate affirmative action confirming that you expressly request immediate performance. When Polar confirms payment, Toolsbywork immediately begins using internal professional analysis resources, including site reinspection, abuse and security checks, content moderation, AI job-category matching, stack analysis, and placement or card preparation. These computational and professional-analysis services are consumed as they are performed and cannot be returned.
By giving that express consent, you acknowledge that the paid service starts immediately after payment confirmation and that you lose any voluntary cancellation, cooling-off, or withdrawal right once performance begins. After that point, no refund, credit, or prorated refund is provided for change of mind, failure to use the placement or sponsor slot, dissatisfaction with traffic or results, the amount of remaining placement or sponsorship time, which panel your card receives or whether it shares one, or removal or rejection caused by inaccurate information, prohibited content, site changes, safety risk, or your breach of these Terms.
This policy does not exclude a refund or other remedy when a right cannot lawfully be waived, including where a charge was unauthorized, the paid service was not supplied because of a failure solely within Toolsbywork's control, or the service was materially different from the description presented at purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights that apply to you despite this agreement.
7. Review, rejection, and removal
Every submission remains subject to safety review. Uncertain results may remain unpublished. We may reject or remove a submission that violates these Terms, creates security or legal risk, misrepresents the destination, stops resolving safely, or is the subject of a valid rights complaint. Payment does not purchase an exception to these rules.
8. Payments
Polar provides hosted Checkout and processes the payment under its own terms and privacy notice. You authorize the displayed one-time charge. Toolsbywork does not store full card details. Taxes, currency conversion, or issuer fees may apply as shown by the payment provider. Do not initiate a knowingly false charge dispute; contact us first when practical. Nothing here removes your right to report an unauthorized or legally disputable charge.
9. Third-party sites
Listings link to third-party products. Toolsbywork does not control those products, their availability, prices, security, accuracy, or privacy practices. You use third-party sites and purchase their products at your own risk under their terms.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, plan availability, or future prices. A plan already paid for remains governed by the scope and duration presented for that order, subject to safety, law, service outages, and events outside reasonable control.
11. Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Toolsbywork is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. Toolsbywork is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability arising from a paid placement will not exceed the amount paid for that placement. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
12. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as much as necessary and the rest remains effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement for the service unless a written order states otherwise. Mandatory laws and courts that apply to a transaction are not displaced by these Terms.
